Her Room

We finally finished Layla's room this weekend after almost 4 months. My mother-in-law bought us the crib from Burlington Coat Factory and my sister-in-law bought us the bedding from Wal Mart. We got the letters from Hobby Lobby. I still have a couple more things I want to do. Hang up some pictures, change the curtains, get a rocking chair or any kind of cool chair. The HOLIDAYS

Super excited about the holidays this year. Can you guess why??? Yup, first holiday with Ms. Layla in my life. She's too little to know what's going on but she brings everyone together without even trying. I can't wait for her bows to arrive so I can get her Thanksgiving pictures done then pictures with Santa. Yes, she will be taking pictures with Santa (I'm that mom lol) it's crazy this time last year we were planning our trip to Canada/New York and now I'm planning when to take my daughters pictures. Who would have thought?!!! 

                

 

Jordana products @ Walgreens

After driving around for 30 mins looking for a Walgreens I finally just went to the one in my old neighborhood (Spring Branch) 

Can you believe I couldn't find a walgreens wtf?!!!! 

I've heard a lot about the Jordana products and I thought I'd get some to try them out. I bought 2 Jordana twist & shine moisturizing balm stain for $2.99 (06 cranberry crush & 02 sweet pink) and the Easyliner for lips (tawny) $1.99. 

I wore the balm stain in 06 cranberry crush and the pigment was really good. The color is perfect for the fall.

An eye opening experience

I grew up with 2 brothers and all their "boys" from the neighborhood. I was what people consider a tomboy. I loved being outside and playing sports so makeup and fashion was never on the top of my list. As I grew older and met some incredible people my view on makeup and fashion changed. It's surprising how great you feel when your makeup is done and you have a sweet outfit on.

When I was pregnant I couldn't do much so YouTube became my best friend. I watched different makeup gurus and learned different techniques and tricks on applying makeup. Watching these videos made the day exciting. I've found a new passion for makeup and I'm thrilled to share it with you guys.

Side note: I recently mastered putting on false lashes haaaayyyyy!

The love you just can't describe

When I first found out I was pregnant I freaked. I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t believe it until I went to the doctor and he confirmed it. How was I going to tell my mom? How was I going to tell my brothers (those of you who know how close my brothers and I are know what’s up lol). My husband David was very supportive which helped me through the toughest part… telling everyone.  

July 26, 2013 changed my life forever. I welcomed a beautiful baby girl into this world Layla Anne Presas. She was tiny 5 lbs 5 oz 19” long. The moment they placed her in my arms it was an instant connection like she knew I was her mom. I asked my step-dad to come into my room to pray for her and I remember thinking how great God is and how blessed I was to be able to carry a healthy baby.
